This isn't the type of book that I would read through at one sitting, but I am having a great time reading 5 or 10 questions at a time in-between reading other things. I have always been fascinated by New York City (if I had unlimited $$$, I would move there in a heartbeat!)and it's history, so this is like presents under the tree to me. The questions that come in are great, and the answers are insightful and fascinating. Truly a fun time if you love The City That Never Sleeps!

Very fast shipping, great book in excellent condition as described. perfect. This book is a great read, I'm a native NY-er and discovered many things about the city I never knew before - I mainly purchased the book for my visiting guests to have something interesting to read while at my home about the stories behind the sights they will be seeing. An easy random-read and you'll find you can't put it down!

I bought this book for a friend of mine who loves NYC trivia and is changing careers to become a NYC tour guide. She loves this book and has already used some of the information on some tours that she is in training for. Easy to read and very interesting informtaion.

I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in New York City trivia and facts. The book covers all types of trivia from history to pop culture. The Q&A format of the book makes it an easy read, and easy to read if you only can read it a couple of minutes at a time (terrific bathroom reading material). It is a must have for any fans of the Sunday New York Times City Section, this book is a must have. It is a great book for anybody interested in a broad range of not-your-typical New York City trivia.

Some of these were definitely intriguing and provocative, others have been done to death in the 11 years since this book's publication. Still a fun, light read with some intriguing tidbits on the city, its people and its history.

This is a wonderful font of fascinating, little-known information about New York. The little stories are just the right length for bathroom reading. Some are funny, others are outrageous, and still others are quite disturbing. Everything you ever wanted to know about New York, but never thought to ask.
